Waiting for a Mate
Terms
Last updated 15 October 2026
These are the terms for playing Waiting for a Mate at waitingforam8.com, made and run by Tony Gorgioski in Australia. Playing means you agree to them. They are short on purpose.
The deal
- Level one is free, in the browser, no account needed.
- Every level after it needs an account and a one-off unlock. One payment covers every paid level, including the ones that haven't been written yet, for as long as the game runs.
- The unlock is for your own, personal, non-commercial play. It is tied to your account and can't be transferred or resold.
Your account
One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu; deleting it ends your unlock too, so export your memories first.
Paying
The price and currency are shown on the checkout page before you pay. Payment is handled by Stripe. The unlock is a digital product that works the moment you pay, so there is no change-of-mind refund. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply regardless and aren't limited by anything on this page: if the unlock is faulty or doesn't do what we said, you are entitled to a remedy. Refund questions go to hello@waitingforam8.com.
Changes to the game
It's a one-person project. Levels will change, get fixed, be added and occasionally break. We may pause or stop parts of the game, and we will give notice on the home page where we can.
Whose it is
The game, its writing, code and look are © Tony Gorgioski, all rights reserved. Third-party assets belong to their makers under the licences listed on the credits page. You may record, stream and share your play; you may not copy, redistribute or sell the game or its levels, or try to get around the unlock.
Fair play
Don't attack the service, scrape the paid levels, or make accounts in bulk. That's all.
What we're not liable for
The game is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss from playing it or from it being unavailable. Consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
Law and contact
Australian law applies. Questions, refunds and complaints go to hello@waitingforam8.com; we'll reply like a person, usually within a few days.
